Newport
Having successfully hosted the Ryder Cup in 2010 and with an ambitious vision that could lead to up to £2 billion of public/ private investment in the City, Newport’s regeneration is going from strength to strength.
At the heart of the City’s rejuvenation is Newport’s 2020 Vision: a master plan of citywide regeneration schemes and projects. This ambitious programme aims to reinforce the City as an economic engine for South East Wales, realising its national and international potential and delivering a prosperous, vibrant, inclusive and forward-thinking City.
Remarkable in both scale and scope, Newport’s 2020 Vision includes a revitalised station district, an enhanced riverfront – home to the theatre and arts centre and a new £35 million university campus – a refreshed retail core, a wealth of hi-spec office spaces and much more.
